Friends, I recently started to use fish glue for bracing repairs and cracks, and love it. I have been using hot hide and titebond for my headstock repairs, but am interested in trying fish glue for them as well. Have any of you used it for these. What is your experience with it and would you recommend it? |

I tried it on a few and I liked it. But I've lately switched to Old Brown Glue for pretty much everything. Works exsctly like hide glue and comes apart just like good hide glue does since that's what it is just with a longer open time. |

I think fish is good stuff but you do hear the occasional horror story about guitars in humid environments coming apart using fish glue. I have yet to experience it but it's definitely not something anyone wants to go through. I used to use it on bridges but switched to HHG for that reason. |

Every bridge I have ever set with fish glue has come undone.... every single one. Those done in HHG or Titebond have all held. |

My experience has been the same as Brian. |
